Role Overview

As a Senior IoT Developer in India, you will be responsible for the implementation, operations, and maintenance of Putzmeister’ s IoT platform. You will work closely with international teams in Germany and China, as well as the IT Dev Hub India, to ensure that our digital solutions are deployed, supported, and scaled effectively.

Your work will start with Azure IoT Hub upwards, focusing on cloud services, data pipelines, and operational excellence. You will design and maintain service architecture, implement business logic, and ensure secure, scalable, and reliable IoT operations for our connected machinery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate the cloud IoT platform and ingestion pipelines (IoT Hub → Functions → Storage).
• Implement service interfaces (REST/SignalR) for UI and internal systems.
• Process and transform machine data for data engineering and machine learning.
• Implement business logic (service rules, alerts, digital twins, device management) starting from IoT Hub.
• Maintain data models and databases (time series, metadata, telemetry).
• Ensure performance, scalability, and security of services.
• Execute operational tasks: monitoring, logging, error analysis, incident handling, and continuous improvements.
• Coordinate and integrate with IT Dev Hub India (e.g., SAP integrations, IT processes).
• Collaborate with international teams (Germany/China) to align architecture, concepts, and prototypes with global rollout.

Requirements

• Experience Range: 5 to 8 years in IoT/cloud development and operations.
• Practical experience with Azure IoT (IoT Hub, Functions, Storage; ideally Event Hub/Service Bus).
• Strong experience in C#/.NET for cloud/backend services; advantageous: Python/Node.js.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and service deployment.
• Database experience for time series/telemetry.
• DevOps expertise (CI/CD, observability: logging/metrics/tracing), operation & maintenance of productive services.
• Azure IoT certification preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD in Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Location & Travel

• Location: Bangalore (Hybrid) – 2 weeks from office & 2 weeks from home (Bangalore).
• Travel: Based on project requirements.
