Your Tasks

The Assembly & Paint Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities in assembly and paint shops, ensuring output targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and efficient utilization of manpower and resources.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

  • Supervise day-to-day assembly and paint shop operations to meet production plans.

  • Ensure adherence to production schedules, cycle times, and throughput targets.

  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.

Quality Control

  • Ensure products meet defined quality standards and specifications.

  • Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.

  • Coordinate with Quality team for inspections, audits, and continuous improvement.

Manpower Management

  • Allocate manpower effectively across shifts and processes.

  • Train operators on SOPs, safety practices, and quality requirements.

  • Monitor attendance, discipline, and productivity of shop-floor personnel.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with EHS norms, especially paint shop safety, chemical handling, and PPE usage.

  • Conduct safety briefings and support audits.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and cost control.

  • Support implementation of Lean / 5S / Kaizen initiatives.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Maintain daily production, rejection, and downtime reports.

  • Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Maintenance, and Quality departments.

  • Escalate production issues and suggest corrective actions.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of assembly line operations and paint processes

  • Understanding of production planning, quality systems, and safety standards

  • Good leadership and team-handling skills

  • Problem-solving and analytical ability

  • Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / 5S / TPM preferred

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting

Preferred Industry Experience

  • Automotive / Auto components / Heavy engineering / Manufacturing industries
