Your Tasks

The Quality Lead for the APS Division is responsible for overseeing quality assurance and control processes in the re-manufacturing business. This role involves defining and implementing quality requirements for re-manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality checkpoints are adhered to, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across all APS centers. The individual will work closely with operational teams to maintain and enhance quality standards, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

 

 

Quality System Development:

  • Establish and implement quality requirements for re-manufacturing processes, ensuring consistency across APS centers.
  • Define product quality checkpoints and develop quality assurance plans tailored to the re-manufacturing workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with Putzmeister’s quality standards, industry regulations, and customer expectations.

Operational Quality Management:

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor adherence to quality processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Verify the quality of re-manufactured products before release to customers, ensuring they meet established standards.
  • Lead resolution of quality issues, including root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and continuous monitoring.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with APS Center Heads to integrate quality objectives into operational workflows.
  • Provide guidance and training to APS teams on quality processes, tools, and checkpoints.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the APS division.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and lead initiatives to enhance re-manufacturing process efficiency, reliability, and quality.
  • Introduce best practices in quality management, leveraging tools like RCA, 8D, and Lean methodologies.
  • Analyze quality metrics and KPIs, presenting insights and recommendations to senior management.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of quality audits, inspection results, and corrective action plans.
  • Prepare and deliver regular quality performance reports to the Quality Head and Director - Services.

Your Profile

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is preferred.

Experience:

  • 8-15 years of experience in quality management, with significant exposure to manufacturing or re-manufacturing operations.
  • Proven expertise in quality assurance, process control, and driving operational improvements.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of re-manufacturing processes and equipment, including quality control techniques.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as RCA, 8D, SPC, and process audits.
  • Knowledge of industrial machinery and applicable quality standards.

Soft Skills:

  • Leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on strategic problem-solving and continuous improvement.
