Description of the position/nature of activity:

Asst Product Manager – Pumping and Placing Solutions – will assist the Product Manager in managing existing products and bringing new products and solutions to the Putzmeister portfolio. The person will understand customer and application needs, help in identifying solutions, assist in creating business plans, follow up on project implementations, plan the launches and market the products through S&M teams, create sales, training and marketing content, monitor and improve the product and solutions. Work on building the Putzmeister range of Pumps portfolio for sustained market leadership. The person will also analyse data through various internal sources, externally available data and present meaningful insights into the market movements, etc

Main duties (according to job description/specification):

The role will involve understanding the customer’s application needs for concrete pumping and placing machines. Competition benchmarking, articulation of requirement, assess product market fit, plan for improvements/ new products, positioning, pricing, promotion.

The person will possess good communication skills and be able to elicit and understand customer requirements and bring in these inputs to our technical team.

The person will build business cases, put up proposals for management approval and drive approved projects to completion and launch them into the market.

Product Lifecycle Management, pricing, product improvement, feedback, product benchmarking, sales content creation, liaison with field teams, customer, technical, plant, parts and service, and deliver solutions to our customers.

Collect field data, competition data, user inputs, feedback, market movements etc and provide meaningful insights for taking action.

Benchmark competition and work on creating product improvement ideas/ competitive sales material to provide for training content

Qualifications essential/desired:

BE / BTech (Mechanical /Electrical/ Civil), MBA (good to have, not necessary),

Skills : 3 - 4 years’ experience with Product Management/ Service / Engineering /Maintenance of concrete pumps/ experience of handling customer requirements, worked in CFTs/ environment with multifunctional coordination. Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, persuasive. Motivate /lead the teams to get the work done.
