Role Overview

As a Junior IoT Developer in India, you will contribute to the implementation, operations, and maintenance of Putzmeister’ s IoT platform. You will collaborate with international teams in Germany and China, as well as the IT Dev Hub India, to support the deployment and scaling of digital solutions.

Your work will focus on Azure IoT Hub upwards, assisting in cloud services, data pipelines, and operational tasks. You will gain hands-on experience in service architecture, business logic implementation, and IoT operations, while developing skills in secure, scalable, and reliable connected machinery systems.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and operation of the cloud IoT platform and ingestion pipelines (IoT Hub → Functions → Storage).
• Assist in implementing service interfaces (REST/SignalR) for UI and internal systems.
• Contribute to processing and transformation of machine data for data engineering and machine learning.
• Help implement business logic (service rules, alerts, digital twins, device management) starting from IoT Hub.
• Maintain and update data models and databases (time series, metadata, telemetry).
• Ensure performance, scalability, and security of services under guidance.
• Participate in operational tasks: monitoring, logging, error analysis, incident handling, and continuous improvements.
• Coordinate with IT Dev Hub India (e.g., SAP integrations, IT processes).
• Collaborate with international teams (Germany/China) to support architecture, concepts, and prototypes for global rollout.

Requirements

• Experience Range: 3 to 5 years in IoT/cloud development and operations.
• Practical exposure to Azure IoT (IoT Hub, Functions, Storage; ideally Event Hub/Service Bus).
• Experience in C#/.NET for cloud/backend services; advantageous: Python/Node.js.
• Basic knowledge of containerization (Docker) and service deployment.
• Database experience for time series/telemetry.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, observability: logging/metrics/tracing), and willingness to grow into operation & maintenance of productive services.
• Azure IoT certification or relevant training preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD in Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
• Awareness of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Location & Travel

• Location: Bangalore (Hybrid) – 2 weeks from office & 2 weeks from home (Bangalore) .
• Travel: Based on project requirements.
